Sorry for the barren patch but I've really got feck all to talk about. ![]() Savage seems to have got his wish (as have I) and he's off. Probably Blackburn. Nothing has been confirmed but all parties have admitted talks are progressing. Savage is not travelling to Charlton tomorrow due to an alleged knee injury. Probably a bit from Sullivan. When a group of Bluenoses from Small Heath Alliance were enjoying Amsterdam, a discussion was sparked about Savage. I dared to suggest that his game was limited and that good teams knew an ignored Savage was an ineffective Savage. Don't get me wrong, when he's on form he's a real assest, but that's hit and miss and only works against teh teams that let his ways rile them. My main beef has always been his inability to run with the ball. He just won't do it. "It's not a hot potato" as my old rubgy teacher used to shout. Savage just fires the ball to a team mate, regardless of the consequences. His completion rate must be marvellous but I dread to think how many recipients fail to retain possession. Took the bike in for it's first service today. Nothing much, just an oil change and a once over. Whilst waiting I chatted with the store owner. Triumph are rumoured to be bringing out a middle class triple sports bike. It would be an In-line 3 engine with about 680cc. I have to admit, I'm really struggling to get to grips with the 600cc 4 cylinder bike. I'm used to instant power; being able to shoot off without having to worry about what gear I'm in or where in the rev range I the engine is. A Daytona 600 with bags of torque and that sweet triple engine would have me begging the bank manager for an overdraft. I'm sure I'll settle with the current bike. The Daytona 600 is reknown for its handling but the cold and wet roads have meant I've not been able to throw her about. But, now the first service is out of the way, I can rev the crap out of the engine and see what she's all about. I've arranged a big ride out to Chipping Norton in March. I'll give it some welly and let you know how I get on. I know, I know, what's all of this got to do with Teri? Well, I got sent home from work yesterday as I came out in a most attractive rash. Chickenpox is doing the rounds so work taxi'ed me home. Fortunatey it's not the pox. It's some virus that can come and go as it sees fit. It may never show again, it might be a regular feature. So me stuck at home meant filling the hard drive with Desperate Housewives. Wisteria Lane boasts and hosts some very attractive women. But, Ms Hatcher still catches my eye first and foremost. Surprising, as I do like Central and South American women, but Eva Longoria lacks that certain something. Ciao for now. |
