Brumwatch nicked without shame from Rags. Little Georgina is growing everyday. I can't believe how strong she is. She's already pushing herself up when we put her on her belly. She's got her old man wrapped round her tiny little finger. She was crying. Despite my best efforts, she couldn't be consoled. I picked her up and put her across me and we got back into bed. Within seconds she was fast asleep and couldn't be disturbed. I did offer to change my first nappy the other day but my gagging reflex got the better of me. My step-mum (who is a white witch, I'm sure) copied a couple of pages froma book she has which sets out the characteristics of people born on a particular day. She shares her birthday with Saddam Hussein, James Monroe, Oskar Schindler, Odette Sanson, Jay Leno and Harper Lee amongst others. According to the book, she's going to be "capable of using her physical, emotional or pyschological prescence in an imposing if not intimidating way." And "attend to her personal appearance with great care." Great, she's going to cost me a fortune in clothes! For those into this witch stuff:- Numbers Ruled by the number 1. Typically individual, of a definite viewpoint and eager to rise to the top. Tarot The Magician. Symbolises intellect, communication information as well as magic. Pluses - diplomatic skills and shrewdness Negatives - lack of scruples and opportunism Health Robust constitution but vunerable to heart problems, high blood pressure or glandular imbalances. Other stuff:- A close call for a touring Brummie. At last, comics are taken seriously. I used to import and sell comics from the States and Japan. I got very tired of people saying "what, like the Beano?" or "but they're just for kids". Not an established art form, I grant you, but some of the art work is stunning and the stories are far darker and telling than most would imagine. Even the lovable camp Batman has a mean streak if you read the Millers Dark Knight books. |
